On 31 October, AMRI announced its new Executive Council. Fr. Joe McGee msc has been elected President and Sr. Barbara Murphy ibvm will serve as Vice-President. Both paid tribute to the outgoing Executive Council under the leadership of Fr. Timothy Lehane svd and Sr. Mary Hanrahan pbvm.
Fr. McGee, a Donegal native, was elected for the second time as Provincial of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart in 2023.
Sr. Barbara is from Wexford and is Provincial of the Loreto Sisters in Ireland. She has served in a number of ministries and leadership positions.
Besides, AMRI also officially appointed Mr Gerard Gallagher as Secretary General from September 2024. He had been acting this role since October 2023 for an interim period due to a leave of absence of Mr David Rose.
